Obituary of DUKE – Olga Catherine

February 23, 1931 – July 7, 2011 Olga Duke of Calgary, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the age of 80 years. Olga was born in Wayne, AB. Her formative years were in Edmonton until 1954 where she married her husband. They moved to Calgary in 1957 where they began their family and Leonard began his practice of dentistry. Following Leonard’s death, Olga began working at CFB Currie Barracks at the dental clinic. She remained there until her retirement in 1990. Olga resided in the same home from 1957 until her passing. Olga is survived by two sons L. Bruce Duke and Blaire Edward Duke; three grandchildren Christopher Bruce, Christopher Leonard and Blaire Christine Duke, as well as Donna Neefe. She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Leonard Duke in 1975, her father John Welychko, her mother Jeannie Cherem and her sister Stella Cherem. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W.) on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
