Obituary of FRASER – Donald

June 27, 1924 – July 5, 2011 Donald Fraser of Calgary passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2011, at the age of 87 years. Don was born in Riccarton, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, Scotland. He came to Canada with the RAF to assist in the Commonwealth Air Training as a Flight Instructor in 1942. In ’44 he met and married his wife, Bernice. He retired from Imperial Oil in 1984 after 28 years of service in the Air Transport Department. Don is survived by his sons, Don (Charlene) of Calgary, AB and Iain (Lynne) of Bassano, AB; grandchildren, Donald, Mairi, Tim, Scott and Ross and several nieces and nephews. Don was predeceased by his loving wife, Bernice “Bea” and sisters, Netta Thomas and Elizabeth Wilson. A celebration of Don’s life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
