Obituary of KNECHT – David Andrew

February 16, 1971 – July 5, 2011 It is with great shock and sadness that we announce the sudden passing of David Knecht. David was born and raised in Calgary, the eldest of four kids. He worked in a variety of construction jobs that took him all over the province of Alberta. He began in roofing, moved to framing and ultimately settled into scaffolding about ten years ago. David took great pride in taking on the most challenging jobs and completing them on or ahead of schedule. The higher the location, the tougher the task, the better. His quick and quirky sense of humour endeared him to many as did his vast array of knowledge on a variety of subjects. David’s generosity and shy love of children was undeniable as was his love for his family. David is survived by his grandmother Dorothy; his father Art (Gail); his brother Michael (Tracy), his sisters Dianne (Brad) and Cindy. He will also be remembered by his niece Avery and nephews Brennan and Jacob; his girlfriend Nicole and many other friends and family members. David was predeceased by his loving mother Donna.
