Condolences
Hi Nim,
So sorry to hear about Jack. I would love to hear from you. Call if you read this.
Love your old friend,
Linda Shaw
So Sorry Nim. Call if you can and we will get together.
Nim I’ve often wondered what became of you and Jack since I left Prince George those many years ago. We recently sold our long-haul trucking company that was into Calgary on a daily basis. I’m the person who talked Jack into joining Sun Life & still remember his boat Sol Vita he and I sailed back from Vancouver. Sincerely sorry about your loss. Ted and Ann Campbell
Our sympathy goes to Jack’s family. We miss him.
Rest in peace Jack.
Dear Nim We are so sorry for your loss. We were out of the country and could not attend Jack’s Memorial service at Country Roads. John did get a chance to speak to Jack a few times before we left. We will miss the ‘sparring’ at rallies but will use our California Duster in his memory.
Dear Nim. So sorry to hear of your loss. I know that you have many good memories that will sustain you through the years ahead. If you are in our neighbourhood please give me a call here in Kamloops or in Yuma. Hope we meet again
Nim & family We were so sorry to read the news of your husband passing. Please know that our thoughts & prayers are with you at this sad time.
Gail & Vern Brnedictson
Nim, my prayers are with you. It was a pleasure sewing with you at Country Roads. Nancy Wallenborn
Dear Nim
I would like to express condolences to you and your family for the loss of your husband. I’m sure you are in the hearts and prayers of your many friends here in Calgary, in Yuma and everywhere you have met friends while RVing. My thoughts are with you.

MEMORIES OF JACK MYTON
Ten years ago we moved to Signal Hill and took up residence next door to Jack and Nim. Little did we know we were about to be acquainted with extraordinary neighbours. First we learned Jack had copious ideas on how we could improve the look of our yard – many of which we adopted and appreciated over the past decade.
Then we learned that if a tool had ever been invented, Jack had it and was generous in lending it out. Not only that, if it was a rare or special tool, he probably owned the only one in southwest Calgary. When Jack and Nim sold their house, we bought several of these from them and they gave us some of the rest. Neighbours extraordinaire!! Our grandson, Lance, remembers Jack as the guy who gave him his first baseball bat.
Last January when we were in Arizona with friends, we planned to visit Jack and Nim in Yuma and were dismayed at their sudden departure for Canada. When we returned later and learned of the devastating news of his cancer, we were doubly dismayed. Throughout the spring we were astounded at Jack’s courage and resolve to see things through with dignity, humour and class.
We missed Jack and Nim when they moved away from Signal Hill but they kept in touch with us through the spring and we appreciated their close friendship. We look forward to a long and lasting friendship with Nim and will be in touch after we return to Calgary.
We said our goodbyes to Jack before leaving for Newfoundland and regret that we will not be able to attend his celebration of life. Goodbye again, Jack. It was a blast to know you and it will be rewarding to remember you.
