Obituary of SOMERS – Sheila Byrl

December 14, 1934 – June 25, 2011 Sheila Somers of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at the age of 76 years. There was nothing more important in the world to Sheila than her family. She prized the roles of “Mom” and “Nanny”, and was truly a mother like no other. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for her children and grandchildren. Her actions taught us that there was no greater treasure than loved ones and dear friends. She had a magical quality that found fun and happiness in every situation, and made all of the people in her life feel so special and valued. Sheila loved to laugh about her stubborn and sassy ways. She talked tough, but was so soft-hearted inside, wanting only joy and laughter for those she loved. She was the heart of our family, and will be missed by so many, including her cherished baby, Daizy. Sheila is survived by her sister Linda Capra, and is the loving mother of Sharon and Chris Diamond, Debi and Shane Budvarson, Chuck and Kate Somers, David and Brenda Somers, Tracy and Gary Somers-Brown. She is the beloved Nanny to Chance Budvarson; Krista Budvarson; Charlie Diamond; Allie Diamond; Dylan Somers; Keely Somers; Oliver Somers-Brown; Spencer Somers-Brown; Jesse Somers; Tara Somers; Jenna Somers; Kerri Somers. Sheila was predeceased by her parents Harvey and Byrl Tough and her brother David Tough.
