Ron’s obituary indicates that he touched everyone’s hearts that he met and he was loved by all. This is such a factual statement! While I’ve only known Ron for a couple of years, every time we ran into each other he was quick to smile and share a laugh. Awhile ago I entered the lotto pool that Ron started. Like everyone else in the pool, I always hoped we’d hit the jackpot and get lucky. Looking back now I realize that we already had won the riches in just knowing, and be-friending Ron! We all too often take friendships and other relationships for granted and now that Ron is no longer with us, it has opened my eyes to how often I do this. Ron was not only a caring, thoughtful, helpful and all around good guy, he was, and still is, a wonderful teacher. I am grateful to have called Ron my friend and my deepest condolences to Dianne.
