Obituary of BIG OLD MAN Pii-yo – Faron

April 25, 1961 – June 20, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Faron Big Old Man. A very dear son, husband, daddy, grandpa, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin. Faron was a great athlete, playing the sports he loved, hockey, fastball, and will forever be remembered by his jersey # 9. He was a hard working man as O&M for the Chief Old Sun School. He was a ‘Carnel’ to all his friends whom he loved. Faron made his Cursillo in 1992, his theme was ‘One Day at a Time’. Faron will be lovingly remembered by his mother Donna Little Light, father Adrian (Lesley) Stimson Sr., mother-in-law June Duck Chief, wife Fonda Duck Chief; treasured son Sayder; daughters Jonie (Blaine), Emily (Keyvin) and Chanelle (Bobby); granddaughters Dannilynn and Mariah; brothers Adrian Jr., Garrett, Archie, Jody, sister Stacy, Grandmother Virginia Medicine Traveller; Aunts Yvonne and Liz Stimson, Priscilla, Ina, Joyce and Jaylene, uncle Adrian BOM; adopted children Delanie Right Hand, Valerie Red Crow, Slim, Garrett and Madonna Sitting Eagle. Faron will also be missed by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and his beloved K9, Dodge. Faron has gone to be with his traditional mothers, Annie Maguire and Peggy Stimson, Uncle Harold Wright, brother Alvin BOM, and special brothers Malcom Sitting Eagle and Emil Medicine Traveller. Wake Services will be held at the residence of Donna Little Light, Siksika Nation, AB on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated at the Chief Old Sun School Gymnasium on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in Paul Little Walker Cemetery (Siksika Nation, AB).
