Obituary of NIEDZWIECKI – Paul Steve

January 25, 1921 – June 17, 2011 Paul Niedzwiecki of Crossfield, formerly of Balzac, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the age of 90 years. Paul was born in Calgary, January 25, 1921. Married to Stella in 1946, the couple first resided in Forest Lawn, then in N.E. Calgary and finally west of Balzac, and were parishioners of Holy Trinity in Forest Lawn and later of St. Paul’s in Airdrie. Paul, Stella, and son Robert operated a family mink ranch which was active from 1937 to 1999. Paul was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend to many. He will be fondly remembered for his love of cream pies, Jimmie Rodgers and John Wayne. He was happiest outside on the wide-open prairies feeding his goats and chickens. His quick wit put a smile on many faces. Paul is survived by son Robert of Calgary; son and daughter-in-law Randy and Margie of Toronto; granddaughter Thaba Jane and husband Phet Sayo and their son Ji Hong and daughter Seung Yi of Delhi; granddaughter Emma Louise and husband Adam Pasquella of Toronto; grandson Paul Jacob of Toronto; and brother Stan and his wife Mary of Vernon, BC. Paul was predeceased by his wife Stella Niedzwiecki in 2005. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul’s Catholic Church (1305 Main Street, Airdrie, AB) on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Airdrie Cemetery.
