To Mike and family, and to Diane’s family> I am sorry to have missed the celebration of her life which I heard was fun and lovely (just like Diane). I was thinking about her twinkling eyes and cheerful disposition as I drove to work today. I think that Diane graced everyone’s life. Even though we all lost her too soon, I think that it was a gift to have had her in my life at all.

Mike & Deborah,

I never met your sister but I met you both in Unit 47 at the Foothills ICU Palliative Unit. My sister died June 4th and I was the one who gave Deborah the 3 books (90 Days in Heaven, Final Gifts and I Don’t Know What to Say). I thought of all of you often after my sister died and noticed your sister’s passing in the Obituaries. After reading her obituary and hearing Deborah speak so highly of her, it made me sad to know that you lost such a wonderful person. I am sorry for your loss but I think it is safe to say that I know what you are going through (well, I know what Deborah is going through for losing a sister). I enjoyed the connection we shared, even though it was only for a week but I have to say that it was all the families in the Unit that I ran into while getting ice chips for my sister who helped me get through that end-of-life journey in the hospital that we all had to go through. My sincere condolences to you both and I wish you strength and peace as you go through the grieving process (keep a box of kleenex with you always, trust me). Many Blessings, Maureen Barrie

Toute jeune, je te trouvais tellement belle et amusante! Ensuite, j’ai vu qu’en plus d’être belle tu étais bonne et attentionnée. Tu as permis aux gens qui ont croisés ta route d’être plus heureux et d’être de meilleures personnes j’en suis certaine.
