Hello Judy and Jerry,
May I offer my condolences to you on the loss of your mother. My name is Jill Tynan. I met your mother a few times when I went to visit my parents, Nora and Bill Ferris, in Horizon Village. Your mom was a lovely lady and my mom was very fond of her. If I recall correctly, your Mom was a great baker and my Mom loved getting to enjoy some of her specialties.
My parents have moved from Horizon Village and they now live in a Senior’s residence. They are both facing the unwelcome conditions associated with old age. My Dad has Alzheimers and my Mom struggles to care for him while coping with many aches and pains. As I am sure you can empathize, it is not an easy time for anyone. It is for these reasons that Mom asked me to send you her sympathy. They don’t use the computer and my mom is almost deaf so a phone conversation is very difficult. Their hearts are with you though and they asked me to extend their thoughts to you.
I hope that knowing that your Mom is remembered as a kind soul by old neighbours will bring some comfort to you as you mourn the loss of your Mom.
