Obituary of O’LEARY – Dennis Earl

November 18, 1944 – June 12, 2011 Dennis O’Leary, beloved husband and best friend of Janet O’Leary of Calgary, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at the age of 66 years. Dennis was born and raised in Calgary where he attended Sacred Heart and then St. Mary’s High School. He was with the Y.M.C.A. of Calgary as Director of Housekeeping from 1993 to present, and also the Alberta Children’s Hospital. Dennis was an avid reader and encouraged all those around him to read. He was a very proud Dad and Grandpa, and was especially proud of all his staff at the Y.M.C.A. and embraced the cultural diversity that all his staff brought to the “Y”. Dennis is survived by his wife and best friend of 45 years, Janet, his son and best friend Shawn, grandson Corbin and granddaughter Hayley of Calgary. Dennis was predeceased by his parents Joe and Fern O’Leary, older brother Larry and his twin brother Dale; in-laws Don and Muriel Macphail. Dennis’s family would like to thank the Popovich family, Ken Snowden and family and Elaine Snow and family for being the friends they have been for all these years.
