Obituary of PETERS – Johanna Hendrika

July 26, 1938 – June 8, 2011 Johanna (Ann) Peters (nee Van der Doorn), passed away in Olds, AB on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at the age of 72 years. Ann came to Canada from the Netherlands in 1958 with her husband to brave a new world and build a new life. Together they created a home that was filled with love and laughter. Ann taught her children the importance of keeping your honor, sharing with others, and the worth of good manners. She understood the true meaning of unconditional love and treated her family with that very same understanding and respect. She was a loving mother and devoted wife. She will be missed very much. The family would like to thank the staff at the Olds Extended Care Facility for all the support, care, and love that was shown to all of us through these past years. Thank you to all who visited. Ann was predeceased by her husband, Harry, of fifty-one years. She is remembered by their children, Ann (Andy Penner), Helena (Glenn Chopiak), Henry (Maria), Eileen (Don Greenough), John (Karen), Rob (Pam), Trish (Jake Mandel), and Matt (Ricki); and fifteen grandchildren. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Beiseker, AB on Monday, June 13 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beiseker, AB.
