Obituary of McKINNON – Donald
May 13, 1925 – June 5, 2011
Donald McKinnon, beloved husband of Muriel of Calgary, passed away on June 5th 2011 at the age of 85 years.
Born in Fort McLeod, raised in the Hamlet of Monarch AB. At the age of 18 he joined the Air Force to defend the crown. After the war he moved his family to Calgary. In 1968 Don went to India as a missionary, to help the people there, maintain and drill water wells. The rest of Don’s life was spent in Calgary. Don had three children through two marriages, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Don is survived by his children, Patricia, Judy, Tim; and his grandchildren, Phillip, Michael, Spencer, Katrina and Tatiana.
Don was predeceased by his two Brothers Johnny and Bill and his sister Joyce. Don was the last member of his family to pass.
There will be no public services, but rather an intimate graveside service for family and friends at the Burnsland Cemetery on Monday June 13th, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
