Obituary of LUTZ – Louise Florence

October 9, 1935 – June 5, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of a very gentle and gracious lady. Louise Florence Lutz passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the age of 75 years. Louise grew up on a farm west of Nanton with her parents, Stewart and Lucinda Smith, sister Jean and brother Gordon, who have all predeceased her. Louise and Jim were married in March of 1956 and resided in Calgary for several years before semi-retiring to Brisco, BC and relocating to High River in 2003. They returned to Calgary in November 2009 to be closer to their family. Jim passed away suddenly in December 2009. Louise was an excellent cook (best sourdough rye bread!!) and thoroughly enjoyed fishing, golfing, gardening, quilting, rug hooking, and was always ‘game’ to play backgammon, crib and bridge. She was treasured and loved dearly by her children, Cheryl Morrier (Kit), Greg Lutz (Andrea), Bonnie Treavor (Garth) and Jacquee McKay. Louise cherished her grandchildren – Lauren and Jesse Lutz, Christopher Morrier, Bradley, Sarah and Randy Treavor, and Ryan and Travis McKay. She enjoyed her special times with step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Scott, Janice, Jayden, Griffin and Addie Morrier and Cam, Tanya, Chase and Taya Morrier. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Bev Lutz and Wava Smith and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Louise was a good ole strong farm girl and greatly exceeded her doctor’s prognosis last June. We packed a lot of special memories, love and laughs in the past year with Mom.
