Obituary of BILETSKI – Eleanor Alice

May 12, 1946 – June 4, 2011 Eleanor Alice Biletski (nee Gardovich), beloved wife of Alex Biletski of Calgary, AB, passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the age of 65 years. Eleanor is survived by husband Alex; daughter Amber; son-in-law Aaron; and grandson Nik; and daughter Burgundy; sisters, Dora and family of Welland, Ont., Jean and husband Stan and family of Dauphin, MB, Elaine and family of Rorketon, MB.; brother-in-law, Nick of Ste Rose, MB; and sister-in-law Audrey and husband Walter Shyiak and family of Winnipeg, MB. Eleanor was predeceased by her father Ignace Gardovich and mother Alice Gardovich of Rorketon. Eleanor was born in Ste.Rose du Lac, MB on May 12, 1946 and received all her education in Rorketon, receiving the Governor General’s Medal at her high school graduation. She married Alex in 1965, lived in Winnipeg for one year and then nine years in Flin Flon. They moved to Calgary in 1975 and have lived here ever since. After her daughters were past elementary school she started university at the University of Calgary, taking evening classes and received her BA with a major in Religious Studies in 1996. She spent the next few years writing by long hand, editing, typing and then had the novel, HOME IS WHERE I BELONG published in 2007. Not having finished her quest, she followed up with another novel FIRST KISS, LAST KISS, BUTTERFLY KISS which she had published in 2010. She then spent her spare time doing book signings at a few Chapters stores. A memorial service for Eleanor will be held in Rorketon at the end of July.
