Obituary of BARRETT – Stephanie Nicole

October 9, 1988 – June 2, 2011 Stephanie Nicole Barrett of Calgary, Alberta made her transition from this life to the next, at approximately 6:00 a.m. Thursday, June 2, 2011 at the age of 22 years, with her family by her side. Stephanie was born in Oshawa, Ontario, on October 9th, 1988, Thanksgiving Day. At the age of two, she moved with her family to Newfoundland, where she spent the next 15 years. At 17, she moved to Calgary, Alberta, where she remained until her passing. Stephanie was a happy, joyful child who grew into a beautiful, caring, gentle and creative young woman. She loved animals and enjoyed a variety of crafts. She was especially thoughtful, often making gifts and cards for those she loved. She had an infectious laugh and a smile that could light up a room. She was expressive and affectionate with her those she loved. Stephanie will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her parents, Wanda Theresa and Darrell Gerard Barrett, of Red Deer, who cherished and adored her, and her brother, Cody James Barrett. Also mourning her loss, are grandmothers, Georgiana and Anne, her aunts, uncles and extended family, the Collier family, special friends and her well loved animal companions. Stephanie was predeceased by her grandfathers, Gregory and Fabian. Stephanie’s family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the I.C.U. at the Peter Lougheed Centre who provided exceptional care and compassion to her in her final days. Your kindness will not be forgotten. A Celebration of Stephanie’s Life will be held at The Red Deer Centre for Spiritual Living (#3 – 6315 Horn Street, Red Deer, AB) on Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
