Obituary of Hahnel – Marilyn Loretta

July 26, 1942 – May 31, 2011 Marilyn Hahnel passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the age of 68 years. She was born in Regina, SK to James and Theresa Deacon (née Deck). Marilyn loved her grandchildren, her dogs, music and laughter. Although faced with difficulties over the course of her illness, she retained her dignity and above all her sense of humour. She will be missed by her children Lori (Bruce Kohse), Terry (Anna), Cathie (Andrew Abud) and Greg (Theresa Doell-Hahnel); grandchildren Nick and Dan Kohse, Victor, Oscar, Alex, and Natalie Hahnel; siblings Diane Rudge, Jim Deacon, Barb Aslin, Donna Deacon and Linda Garlick; and companion Austin Griffith. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Ron and brother Rick Deacon. At Marilyn’s request, there will be no formal service; a celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
