Condolences
I am so sorry to hear of Debbie’s passing. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Our prayers are with you Darren, your children, and your extended family. I have been thinking of all of you this week and wish you strength. I have yet to meet another person who had a Christmas tree in every room in her house! Debbie had such joy in her and I will never forget that about her.

Rarely in life do we meet such a treasure as Debbie. What a wonderful zest for life. Darren, our prayers are with you, Deanna, Dustin and Devonna today expecially, and in the days ahead as you find your way. May God hold you close at this time.

Darren & family – thinking of all of you today, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Heather, Nathaniel & Lily
So many memories. After Deanna was born, on the way home from the hospital, Deb and Darren came to our house to show off “ten little fingers and ten little toes” – both bursting with pride. One time I admired a sweat shirt Deb had, she whipped it off and gave it to me. Life will never be he same.

Debbie came into our lives at Simon Fraser Jr. High where she became one of our very special students and then again when Darren and she came to our home for the grad party for Darren’s Navigation CYA standard. Again we enjoyed their wonderful hospitality for Darren’s 40th. Her loss will be shared by so many of us whose lives were touched by her magic!!!
Darren and family
My heart is aching for you in your sudden loss. Debbie had big influence on many people as she walked through her life. Her smile and laugh were contagious. She will be sadly missed and always loved and never forgotten in our hearts.
To all of the Steinmans,
Debbie was the greatest of the greatest person I’ve ever met, an absolute angel here on earth among us. Every time I was with her she filled me with her warmth and that beautiful personality that made me yearn to become more like her. Her smile and presence filled me with happiness everytime I was around her. Debbie made me feel worthy and glad to be human. It is impossible for me to express how overcome I am, and I haven’t stopped thinking about Debbie since this terrible accident has happened. I extend our thoughts to your family and want you all to know we are with you in heart and spirit. God bless all of you from all of my heart.
Love, Neil and Chantal Coutney, Hanover Ontario.
To Darren and family,
Debbie meant an aweful lot to me and I want to tell you that my heart goes out to you and the kids. Debbie is someone who made the world very special anytime and all the time, and I’ll never forget that. So I send all of our love and compassion to you and your kids. Remember there is an afterlife and Debbie will be there for all of us.
Love,
Neil and Chantal Coutney, Hanover Ontario.
Fresh out of teacher’s college, I had my first class at Dr. E. W. Coffin Public School. I taught half time and shared that class with Gerry Sharpe the Principal. Debbie was a member of that grade 6 class. I remember her well and with fondness. She was a great kid: funny, engaging and generous. I was fortunate to have been able to see Debbie and her classmates as young adults at a reunion of that class. Debbie helped to organize and make that reunion happen. In my time knowing Debbie, she demonstrated, in many ways, that being ‘connected’ to others was really important to her. I cannot believe that she is gone. I feel so terribly saddened by her passing. I will never forget her. My condolences go to Debbie’s family, friends and her old classmates.
Debbie was an amazing person, she had a wonderful sense of adventure. I loved how she lived life to the fullest.
Our prayers and loving thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. God Bless you.

I read about Debbie in the newspaper and was shocked! My sincerest condolences to all of you. Debbie was like the “glue” in the McFarlane/Steinman family. Always able to hold things together. Dear Debbie,
My life changed when I met you in grade two at Dr. Coffin school. You were fun and naughty and made me laugh. We grew-up together, laughed together and eventually raised our kids together. I look around at the things in my life and you touched all aspects and angles in a positive and vibrant way. I am heartsick and angry at life from taking you away. Your generous nature and easy going attitude were just some of your finest qualities. I will cherish every memory I have of you my friend.
Darren and kids, I love you.
Dear Aunty Debbie,
I don’t remember life without you, some of my earliest memories are of you laughing and smiling. You have been such a positive impact on my life and you have taught me that there’s always a reason to smile. You and your family mean the world to the Carter’s and that will never change. I love you so much and I know one day I will get to see your beautiful face again.
Darren, Deanna, Dustin and Devonna,
know that we are always here for you and we love you. <3
Our prayers and thoughts are with you Darren, your children and to all extended family throught this difficult time of the loss of Debbie. May God sustain you through this time knowing many prayers are being sent up for you.
Robert and Wanda
