Obituary of LAWSON – Doreen Mae Dodie

February 11, 1933 – May 28, 2011 With profound sadness, we announce that following a brief but serious illness, Doreen passed away. She is lovingly remembered by David, her husband of 55 years; children David, Neil, Susan; grandchildren Nicole and Scott, and their mother Wendy. In addition, Doreen is survived by her sisters, several nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. Doreen was happy to have grown up in the Highlands in Edmonton. Before her marriage, she worked for the Singer Sewing Machine Company, and Northwestern Utilities (“the gas company”) where she first met her husband. With family, and in later years, she enjoyed travelling, bird-watching and anything that involved her talent for creative expression. We love you and will sorely miss you. Many thanks to those who cared for her in her last days. In accordance with Doreen’s wishes, there will be no service, but relatives and friends are invited to an open house from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2.
