Obituary of CHARTERIS – Marjorie Marge Joan

January 18, 1934 – May 25, 2011 Marjorie “Marge” Joan Charteris of Calgary, passed away following a long and courageous battle with cancer, on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at the age of 77 years. Marge was born in Cadomin, AB and was raised there until she was eighteen when the family moved to Edmonton. She met Bob in Edmonton and they were married June 15, 1957. They moved to Calgary in 1959 where they lived in the community of Fairview for forty-three years. Marge had worked at Colt Engineering, Sears and retired from Calgary Co-op. Her biggest love in life was her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking Sunday suppers, sewing, knitting, quilting and going to the casino with her friends. Marge is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Tracey Charteris; her two daughters Debbie Charteris and Danette Charteris; and three grandchildren, Cassandra, Mikayla and Bryce. Marge is also survived by her special friends, Heather, Bob and Matthew Cartwright, as well as her dog Missy. She was predeceased by her husband Robert L. “Bob” Charteris on May 19, 2001.
