I send my condolences to all the family & recall many many wonderful memories with Uncle Jack & family growing up in Calgary as a child. May you rest in peace Uncle. Henning’s (Hank) daughter.
My deepest sympathy to the Klokeid family. My Dad has always spoken highly of his older brother. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. God bless.
Marlene Fraser (Klokeid) (Ottawa)
Daughter of Bill Klokeid
We lived across the hall from the Klokieds in Hemer Germany when we were all stationed there and Maxine was my Mother’s close friend. I was friends with Kerry and we all knew each other very well. I have not seen them since 1966 but the memories always live on. Was so sad to hear that Jack had passed away, my sincere sympathy to Maxine, Terry, Kerry and family and all who’s life he has touched.
MWO Jack Klokeid and I served in the same Regiment, same Battalion for years. As soldiers lives are, we were often separated by attending courses in various places, postings to various places, but always returning to a Patricia family assembly. He was a first class soldier, and will always be remembered. My wife Shirley and I wish to express our deepest sympathies for the family in this their time of sorrow. The Lord must have felt that Jack has done everything here that was asked of him, and needed his talents elsewhere.
God Bless one and all
I never knew Jack when he was in the Military. I met Jack when he was range warden and again as foreman of roads & grounds. As a former soldier myself, I was part of the Red Barn crew and it was almost a daily routine for Jack or his crew to stop by there. It was not hard to tell that Jack was PPCLI all the way. He was also a gentleman, an excellent boss and of course a true soldier. Jack, your job here is done; rest in peace.
John Wilson
My Dad has spoken to me about my Uncle Jack and only has fond memories. My condolences to the immediate family including Aunt Maxine.

Sincere sympathy to the Klokeid family.
Our parents, Norman and Brenda Lawrence were friends of Jack and Maxine’s back in the 1940’s. Dad and Mom always spoke fondly of the Klokeid family. If my parents were alive today, I know they would want their message of sympathy sent to you all.
Sincerely from the children of Norman and Brenda Lawrence,
Carol, Gary, Lynne,
Bob and Mark.
Sincere sympathy to the KLOKEID family had the honor of working with Jack when he was the foreman at roads and grounds. CFB Calgary truly is one of the best.
