Obituary of NAGY – Zoltan Charles
February 16, 1949 – May 21, 2011
We are sad to announce the sudden passing of Zoltan Nagy on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the age of 62 years.
Zoltan was born in Melfort February 16, 1949 and raised in St. Brieux, SK on a farm. After graduation from St. Brieux High, he moved to Regina to begin his career in banking at the Scotia Bank. He then moved to Calgary in 1979 and started an entrepreneurship and continued it until his death. He developed a skill in staging facilities. During his career he established a close circle of valued friends. Zoltan welcomed everyone with open arms and warm hospitality and will be deeply missed.
Zoltan is survived by his mother Julia and brothers John, Frank (Terry), Emil (Phyllis), twin sister Linda Sapieha (Lawrence) and sister Irene Coquet (Marcel) as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father John in 2001.
A Celebration of Zoltan’s Life will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
