Obituary of KUHBOCK – Rudolf

October 24, 1931 – May 21, 2011 Rudi Kuhbock, beloved husband of Linda Kuhbock of Calgary, passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the age of 79 years. Rudi was born in Gottsdorf, Austria and immigrated to Calgary in 1954. He forged his career as one of the pre-eminent North American restaurateurs at the Calgary Petroleum Club, the Calgary Inn, and the Austrian Canadian Club. Later, in partnership with two friends, they founded the Three Greenhorns Restaurant chains as well as The Salmon House on the Hill in Vancouver. Besides his loving wife of fifty-six years, Rudi is survived by a daughter Karin LeBlanc; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Susanita Kuhbock; two granddaughters, Cori and her husband Trevor Kushniryk and Lyndsay and her husband Curtis Mechefske. He is also survived by three brothers, a sister, extended family and friends worldwide. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
