Diane, Laura and Family:
We were very saddened to hear of your Mom’s passing. Little did we know that our visit with her at the Foothills would be our last. We were indeed fortunate to have Marlene as a key mainstay of the Brooks Composite High School office for 25 years. She was a dedicated, reliable secretary who everyone at the school adored. She was also a confidante and a great friend. We have many memories of meals shared and card games played. Marlene was always the calming voice when political points of view were exchanged with your dad. Ann will miss the long late night calls as they caught up on news about family and friends. There are many fond memories; too many to count. We will all miss Marlene.
Diane, Laura and families,
Wendell and I were so very shocked and saddened to hear about your Mom’s passing. Her and I had such a good visit on the phone on Thursday night that I couldn’t believe the news Sunday. We only have amazing and happy memories of spending time with Marlene., Wendell at BCHS and all the social times Marlene and I spent together at church functions, just visiting over tea until late, or birthday celebrations in Calgary with Ann. Just a heart full of good and happy memories of a special friend I loved dearly. I will miss her very much. You are all on our hearts and in our prayers. Once again, we are so very sorry for your tremendous loss.
Laura, so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom, my condolences to you and your famil
Oh Laura, I am so sorry for your loss of your mother. I never got to meet her, but I could imagine her in you. Thinking of you.

Dianne & Family , and Laura it is with heavy hearts that we wish you sincere condolences, Marl was not only my aunt, but more like an older sister. The memories I have are very special as growing up she was always there for me. The times we shared where happy ones, music and singing brought her great enjoyment. We will miss her dearly but she is in a better place with the rest of her family. Love & Hugs
At this time it is hard to find the right words of condolence. I had the privilege of working with this wonderful women and mother. The BCHS stall arranged to have her taken to supper on her 65th birthday in an appropriate 65 Lincoln convertible. It was a bit cold as it the first snow of the season and we did not get a chance to ride with the roof down.

Janet and I along with Jenna and Katie saw all of you in Victoria for our moms 90th birthday, Merle enjoyed her company , and I do remember her spunk and spirit was great , our love and prayers are with you.
