Obituary of RIMAC – Stipo

November 15, 1930 – May 16, 2011 Stipo Rimac, beloved husband of Luca of Calgary, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 80 years of age. Stipo was born in Strupnic, Bosnia Hercegovina. He came to Canada with his family in 1969. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Luca; sons, Josko and Zeljko; daughter Evica (Mile); grandsons, Zvonko (Courtney) and Josip; along with great-granddaughter Brooke. Stipo is also survived by his brothers, Martin, Filip (Anda), Ante; sister Anda (Josip); sisters-in-law Ivka and Ruzica; brother-in-law Ivan; as well as numerous nephews, nieces and beloved family in Croatia and Canada. He was predeceased by his father Dane; mother Matija; brother Cvitko; and sisters, Milka, Cela and Kata. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Marija Bistrica Croatian Catholic Church (14680 Deer Ridge Drive S.E.) on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
