Obituary of KITCHEN – Una

January 7, 1919 – May 16, 2011 Una passed away peacefully at the Santuari Hospice in Calgary, Alberta on Monday, May 16, 2011 at the age of 92 years. Una was born in England and grew up in Calgary. She married Robert in 1937. In 1963 they moved to Beaverton, Oregon. Una worked as a head cook for the Beaverton School district for over twenty years. In 1978 they retired to Vancouver, Washington where Una was an active volunteer. Her wit and sense of humour and spunk will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Una was predeceased by her husband Robert. She is survived by her loving family, son Len (Barb); daughters, Yvonne Girling (Gary) and Wendy Loyd (George); nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and U.S.A. A Celebration of Una’s Life will be held in Vancouver, Washington at a later date. Forward condolences through .
