Obituary of LISCOMBE – John Robert Doc

October 25, 1946 – May 6, 2011 Dr. John Robert “Doc” Liscombe, beloved husband of Morag of Calgary, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011 at the age of 64 years. John “Doc” was a loving and devoted husband, brother, uncle and friend. His legacy of love, kindness and selflessness will live on through all of those that he touched in his life. As an avid sportsman and athlete, Doc especially enjoyed hockey, hunting, boating and … drag racing cars, working on cars, restoring cars, driving cars, reading about cars … CARS! We now mourn our great loss and reflect on a life well lived. One of his favourite sayings sums it all up, “Doing the right thing isn’t always easy. But it is always right.” Doc is survived by his wife Morag, two brothers, Dr. Tom and Shirley Liscombe, Dr. George and Jody Liscombe; two nephews, Dr. Travis and Lisa Liscombe and Mike Liscombe; and niece Amy Liscombe. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Isobel Liscombe, and nephew Lester Liscombe.
