Dear Family, I had the honor of meeting your beloved grandmother this past January and February while my husband was a resident in the same facility as she was. For the 4 weeks my husband was there, my family and I had the pleasure of socializing with Olva on a daily basis. I had nice chats with her about Scotland. She was quite amused with my adult grandson, who joked with her on his visits. She was also quite pleased that they both shared the same birthday. She was a delightful person to know and we enjoyed her company despite the circumstances that we were all there for.

I am very sorry for your loss and sincerely hope your warm and loving memories of her will help you through the days ahead.

Dear family, I’m sorry you’ve lost her, though she fought long and hard. I was fortunate to have chats with her and hear her stories. I’m thankful to her for the times she could make my dad laugh. She made a real impact at CareWest – a spitfire of a woman. Olva, God bless you!

Olva was such a great person, with a warming heart and had time for anyone, she cooked for so many atheltics and their families…Bill and Olva were always the first on the ski hill, and the last to leave….we will miss Olva, but knowing she is now with Bill and her daughter Jackie….

Dear Steven, Megan and Tristan,

Very sorry to heard about your grandmother. As you know Olva was admired by all who knew her. If something needed to be done in the community, Olva was there to lend a hand and help out wherever help was needed. Many, many young children were cared for by Olva and when the children became teenagers, they still respected and loved ‘their’ Olva.

Olva will be missed by everyone who knew her and loved her attitude.
