Obituary of HERRON – Madeline Josephine

October 25, 1936 – May 2, 2011 The loving family of Madeline would like to announce her passing at the Foothills Medical Centre on Monday, May 2, 2011. Lynne fought a brave battle this past month and we would like to thank everyone who expressed their love, concerns and goodwill. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Laura Kristiansen (nee Herron) and by her granddaughter Marisa Kristiansen, who was her true pride and joy (“Little Missy Muffet”, as she was affectionately known by her grandmother). Lynne is survived by her brother Eddie (Sheila); her brother-in-law Mel Jordan; and her constant companion Ron Keats. She was predeceased by her parents Anna and Frederick and her sister Kathy. She was fortunate enough to have been surrounded by many in-laws, nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews from the Nolte and Herron families. Lynne acquired many good friends over the years, loved her community ties and was fortunate to have many neighbours with whom she spent a number of volunteer (and chatty) hours. The family knows Lynne will miss Mrs. Fawcett a great deal and, her partner-in-crime Lynne K. She loved children (influential in many of their lives) and her many furry friends over the years. Lynne’s most recent pup, Cruise, passed right before her and now they’ll be together. She lived a great life that ended too soon – now cherish the memories and bless her new adventure. A Memorial Service will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Friday, May 13, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Thanks to the staff in the ICU and Unit 61 at the Foothills, in the difficult days you helped her and guided us. In living memory of Madeline Herron, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Chapel of the Bells, 2720 CENTRE STREET NORTH Telephone: (403) 276-2296.
