Obituary of CLARKE – Alvan Bud

December 16, 1929 – May 2, 2011 Bud Clarke, beloved husband of Vivian Clarke of Calgary, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 at the age of 81 years. Bud was predeceased by his parents Roberta and Len Clarke and his brother Wilbert Clarke. Bud is survived by his wife Vivian of fifty-nine years and his three children, Colleen of Toronto, Brad (wife Debbie) and Alison all of Calgary along with Bud’s grandchildren Jonathan and Tyler of Calgary, Matthew (wife Leila and great- granddaughter Coco) and Ryan (fiancé Kristy) of Vancouver. Bud was born December 16, 1929 in Dinsmore, SK. Bud spent his youth helping in the family general store until he graduated from high school. Bud then moved to Camrose and apprenticed in pharmacy. After which he studied Pharmacy at the University of Alberta. Bud began his career as a pharmaceutical sales representative with Warner Chilcott, then moved to Frank W. Horner Limited, and then to Charles E. Frosst. He finished his career with Merck as the western Canadian marketing representative for Light Cast and then later the Nuclear Medicine division. He retired at the age of 65. Bud was very active, outgoing and entertaining. He enjoyed travelling, tennis, curling, skating, skiing, golf and swimming.
