Obituary of TRIFUNOV – Harry

August 21, 1922 – May 2, 2011 Harry Trifunov, beloved husband of Agnes Trifunov of Calgary, passed away on Monday, May 2, 2011 at the age of 88 years. Harry was a veteran of World War II and served as a medic on a troop escort vessel. When he returned he studied pharmacy and owned his own store in Southey, Saskatchewan for 20 years. Harry loved to cook and entertain friends, enjoyed travelling and learning new languages, loved to watch all sports and especially loved horse racing, owning his own thoroughbreds for several years. Besides his loving wife of fifty-nine years, Harry will be missed by his family, sons Jerry (and wife Wendy, sons Alex and Cole) of Calgary and Rick (and wife Kathleen, sons David [Erin], Matthew and Aden) of Ottawa, and daughter Patricia of Philadelphia. A private family graveside service will be held. The family would like to thank Dr. Rod Place for his wonderful care over the years, and the staff at the Colonel Belcher and the Rockyview Hospital who helped Harry through his final chapter of life.
