Obituary of WOODMAN – Norma Virginia

July 27, 1935– April 27, 2011 Norma Woodman of Calgary, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the age of 75 years. Norma was born in Prince Edward Island. She met her future husband Gordon as they both worked on the MV Abegweit ferry between PEI and NB. They were married in June, 1953 and moved to Calgary in 1956 where they raised their family of five children. Norma enjoyed square dancing, skating and especially her time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She looked forward to family get togethers and talking with her relatives “back east”. In later years, Norma was a resident of Trinity Lodge and Chinook Care Centre, where she enjoyed bingo and sing alongs. Norma will be remembered for her strong spirit and her positive outlook on life. Norma is survived by her family, Terry and Valerie Woodman, Wade and Maria Woodman, Gail and Mike Matovich, Jamie and Francy Woodman and Lorna and Brian Miller, fourteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, three brothers Paul (Francis) Arsenault, Clarence Arsenault and Earle Arsenault, three sisters Lorraine (Dom) DeCristoforo, Cleone Harvey (Terry Sing) and Velma Levesque, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon “Woody”, her brother Melvin Arsenault and her brother-in-law Luc Levesque. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at ST.
