Condolences
Vern and I attended Goodwater SK highschool together. I just dicovered this notice on facebook. Deeply sorry when I read it. I met you once in Calgary Marg. I live in Chloride AZ. (80 miles South of Las Vegas NV.) Earl Berrard will visit me in Nov. I’m sure we’ll talk about old times that included Vern.

Marg & family –
We are so sorry to hear of Vern’s passing and our sincere sympathy goes out to you and your family. He will surely be missed by his family of course but by his Standen’s co-workers as well. He must have held the longest term employee record there – quite an accomplishment.
Deepest sympathy, thoughts and care are extended to all. Vern was an amazing example of committment and dedication.

Dear Marg: Kathleen and I are so terribly sorry to hear of Vern’s sudden passing. I grew up with him in Goodwater and remember playing ball, hockey and hunting with him. We both moved to Calgary to attend SAIT in 1961. I always admired Vern’s common sense and grounded personality. Our sincere condolences to you and your family.
My thoughts are with the Hennan family. Vern was a great Co-worker and friend. I will miss his special humour and stories.
Like he was to so many others here at Standen’s, Vern was a mentor, a colleague, and a dear friend. From the days of playing ball to the days of reminiscing about old times, we will always cherish Vern’s humour, help and wisdom. Our team here will miss him deeply. We pass on our condolences to Marg, Brett and the rest of the family.
