Dear Cathy and Phil-
My husband and I just returned from California last evening and I saw that Alden had passed away on Friday. My sincere sympathy – he was such a wonderful family man and I enjoyed working for him at Imperial Oil. I’d love to touch base with you – please call if you have time (403)271-9565 or email at jjamieson@wecarecanada.com
Sincerely,
Jan Jamieson (previously Garrett/Melling)

To: all the Hansen Clan out West:
Today is a sad day for all of us. However we should be thankful for all the years we had with Alden. He was a wonderful big brother, always included me in his many adventures. I could go on for pages about the things we did when we were kids.
He had more than his share of crosses, but I never heard him complain. His sense of humor and being able to laugh at himself carried him through.
I wish I could have been there with you today, but in my condition I would have been an added burden. I always thought that I would have been the first to go. I am so thankful for the week we had together at Mary’s and Paschal’s two summers ago. It is a memory I will cherish until it is my time.
I know we can all be thankful for the time we had with him. Know that you are all in my prayers.
Sincerely;
Uncle Don.
Dear Carol, Rob and Family,
Please accept our heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your father. May the Lord continue to bless and comfort you and your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time.
With love and respect,
Adriano, Francesca, Marco, Paolo, Isabella and Stefania

Hello to all the Hansen Clan out West.
Our hearts are with you this week as they have been throughout the last while. I won’t forget that Uncle Alden had been working hard to recuperate so that he could come back East for some lemon pie!
We miss you all and we will really miss the jokes and stories that have been around ever since I can remember….being at the cottage with everyone sitting around and the brothers would be constantly one upping each other… I couldn’t wait for summer to come and for my uncles and cousins to arrive!
Wish we could be with you, but you will know that our prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Love, Tara, Jerome, Cameron, Matina and MacLaren
We are thinking of you Mary, Paschal, David, Brian and family during this difficult time.
A donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation has been made in Alden’s memory.
Kind Regards,
Darrell and Carol
Dear Mary Theresa and Paschal,
Our deepest sympathy to you and all of the Hansen family on the loss of your brother Alden. Reading the obituary makes us realize what a wonderful family man he was and how he valued the really important things in life. You will all miss him in your lives.
Sincerely, Mary and Kerry Coventry
Know that our family grieves with you all at the passing of Uncle Alden. We’ll have wonderful memories of the many times we were together and of the many stories about Alden and my Dad growing up in Saint John. What I’ll remember the most is his great sense of humor, times at the bay, and his great love for his family. Uncle Alden was a special man, a great uncle and a wonderful father. He will be missed but never forgotten.
Please know that though we cannot be with you physically right now…you are all in our thoughts and prayers. We love and miss you all….Kent, Bonnie, Stacie, Zach and Ricki.
Mary, Pascal, Father Brian, Don, David
and all Alden’s Loved Ones,
Memories, laughter, love….the treasures we keep forever. Let those good memories play over and over in your hearts.
In sympathy and friendship, with love and prayers.
Clara
My thoughts and prayers go out to the Hansen family. Uncle Alden was a kind, funny and friendly man that will be missed by many. I’ll never forget his ability to tell stories and his laugh, which couldn’t help but bring a smile to your face every time.
