Hi Gaynor Sorry about Bill I will always remember Bill, amongst other things his glowing smile. The face on the notice says it all. The funeral service and tributes were heartfelt and warm. Sorry I didn’t get to see or speak to anyone, but had a two o’clock appointment. Hello to Wayne, Greg, Dean, Leah, Kirk, Kevin, Kerry
Uncle Willie was truly one of the best. We will always remember him as being kind, generous, and always happy to see us and to hear about what we had been doing. Our memories of Uncle Willie go back to some of the very first memories we have as young children. We would be so excited to see him, Leah, Wayne, Greg, and Dean when we were visiting Grandma and Grandpa’s. We always had so much fun on those visits.
Uncle Willie was a great influence on our lives. He taught us how to ski, brought us to the Calgary Stampede, to rugby games, to football games, to hockey games, even to Stampede Wrestling…and he fed us scrambled cheese eggs every chance he could.
Each of us have Uncle Willie’s paintings hanging in our homes. We will always cherish them for ourselves and we are proud to tell others about one of our favourite artists, our Uncle Willie.
Uncle Willie, thank you for everything you did for us, we were so lucky to have you as an uncle.
We will always remember you.
Love,
Norina, Wally, Kelsey, Kostan,
Ernie, Jen, Eli, Jonah, Marika,
Brian, Karen, Pyper
Remembering Bill as my friend’s husband and best friend makes me smile. His gentle humour, his joy in sharing his love of art, and his tenacious love of life brought joy to everyone around him. His chuckle elicited laughter and he will be missed. My prayers go to his family, friends and Gaynor.
We are deeply saddened by Bill’s passing. He was a great friend to so many and his cheerful manner and wonderful smile said it all. He will be greatly missed. Our love and prayers go out to you Gaynor and your family.

Fond memories of school days in Victoria. God rest you, Will.
Dear Gaynor & Family,
Bill was truly one of Jim’s GENTLE man friends. He was a fun guy & not so gentle when it came to competitive games!!! I so enjoyed my time at aquasize class with Dena’s instructions to the ladies & Bill, too. I keep looking over my shoulder, Bill in the pool. We surely miss you. Say Hi! to Meryle when you see her. Love & Caring, Irene & Jim
As the current president of the Calgary Rams Rugby Club, please accept my most sincere condolences on Bill’s passing. It was a pleasure to meet Bill during the summer of 2009 while planning and attending the Rams 50th Anniversary. His stories of the early years were great pieces of history to pass along to current and future members of the club. We are honoured to have Bill as a founding member, Once a Ram – Always a Ram. Rest in peace Bill. To Bill’s family, you remain in our hearts and thoughts during your time of loss.
Angela

It was our pleasure to know Bill and enjoy his company on so many occasions. We are fortunate to have some of his art work as it will provide a continous reminder of him.

I feel very privileged to have known Bill. He was a true “gentle” man and inspired many with his outlook on life.
To the family of Bill Dawson,
My sincerest and most heartfelt condolences to your family. I met Bill only a few times in 2009 when planning the Rams Rugby 50th Anniversary Weekend. Bill left me with a lasting impression and I was so sad to hear of his passing.
His old club sweater from the early days of the Rams is now hanging in my closet, thanks to his generosity. I remember the excitement I felt when he passed it over to me to share with the next generations of club members and was so proud to be its new owner.
Take care of each other during this hard time.
Sincerely,
Kyla McGillis
