Condolences
I’m thankful for the legacy your dad left from all those years in Ethiopia and in Canada’s SIM – and of course what emanates from you – a great a godly foundation – precious in God’s eyes is the passing of His saints.
Blessings on you all — Lorna
Thanks for sharing this tribute with us, Doug. What a loss to miss this excellent man.

My thoughts and prayers are with you. May you find comfort and peace in these difficult days ahead. I will remember Uncle John for his soft heart, gentle soul and kind spirit.

Dear Marj and family,
My name is Jeff Whitaker and I am serving at Calvay Bible Church in Kalamazoo. Many of us here are praying for you in these days. Surely, there is deep joy in knowing that John is with the Lord he loved and served so well here – but such sorrow in being separated from a man so loved. May you know our Lord’s deep comfort in these days.
In His Love,
Jeff Whitaker

Dear Marj and family,
We were sorry to learn of John’s passing from this earth but rejoice that he is with the One whom he loves. He was a special man and it was a privilege to know and work with him at SIM Canada. We send you our love and sympathies and are praying that the service tomorrow will be one of victory and blessing to the family and to your friends. May God fill you with His peace and comfort now and in the days ahead.
With our love in Christ,
Jim and Sandy Snell
Dear Doug and family,
May the peace of Christ surround you at this time of saying “farewell”. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
With love,

To our beloved friend Marj.
Our love and prayers are with you. We have so valued your friendship and prayer support over the years. We first met you in Ethiopia about forty years ago. We have been blessed by knowing you both. You will miss your dear husband very much and we pray that the days ahead although often lonely will be blessed by the Presence of your Lord.
We will meet again.
Robin and Barry Hicks.
What a huge and sad “bump on the trail” this is for your family. We send our love to the Koop family, especially our dear friends Sandi and Lorne. One of my favorite stories in the memoir is the one about John Koop walking his baby daughter Sandi around and around the tiny living room, trying to calm her colic. It seems that throughout his life, John brought wonderful calm and caring to those around him. We send our love and wish we could ease your grief.
Catherine
Dear Marj and Family:
Our hearts go out to you in love and prayer during this difficult time. John was a good and faithful servant and we know he has entered into the joy of His Lord. May God strengthen and comfort you during these difficult days ahead. Even in the valley, He is there, and we pray that you will experience His presence in a special way.
Love and prayer,
Eleanor and Marge
