Obituary of COPLEY – Olga Mary

1925 –2011 On Wednesday, April 20, 2011 Olga Copley of Calgary died peacefully after a six year fight with cancer at the age of 86 years. A woman of character, strength and dignity, Olga was actively involved in business and community in her thirty-two years in Banff where she worked as an administrative assistant at the Banff Centre, raised her family and helped Reg run Copley Plumbing and Heating. After Reg’s death in 1979, Olga returned to Calgary, and became active in the Native Calgarian Club, the Eastern Star, and the Association of United Ukrainian Canadians. In spite of the loss of her sight, Olga was able to live independently and carry on her activities with the same commitment and passion she had always shown. Her challenges were met with great courage.
