Obituary of Funk – Helen Elizabeth

October 8, 1912 – April 19, 2011 Helen Funk of Airdrie, AB, passed away on April 19, 2011 at the age of 98 years. Helen was born in Gouldtown, Saskatchewan. She married Henry Funk on September 2nd, 1937. The couple had one daughter, Lois Eleanore, on August 16th, 1943. Helen was a phenomenal homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. In her early years she enjoyed dancing. She always loved singing, especially hymns, working in her beautiful flower gardens, studying the Word of God, and mastering the most delicious recipes. She will be dearly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know her. Helen is survived by her grandson, Shane Labaschuk, and her granddaughter, Sharla Funk. She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 2002, and her daughter Lois in 2010. Graveside Service was held at the Airdrie Cemetery. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
