Obituary of COX – Robert John Bobby

July 4, 1953 – April 15, 2011 Robert John “Bobby” Cox, formerly of Calgary, passed away on Friday, April 15, 2011 at the age of 57 years in Dean, Nova Scotia. Born in Timmons, ON, and raised in Dean, Nova Scotia, he was a son of Nellie (Brown) Cox and the late Leon Cox. Bobby moved to Alberta, where he married and raised his family, working mostly as a truck driver, and for the last several years, he was proudly self-employed. He enjoyed life, and took pleasure in making those around him laugh. He was known for his kind, open, generous nature, and his heart of gold allowed him to be a friend to all. Bobby will always be fondly remembered and dearly loved by daughters, Carolyn (Phil) Cox-Disney and Belynda (Joel) Garcia; grandchildren, Brayden, Gabriel, Navia, Nathaniel, and Grace; mother Nellie (Brown) Cox; siblings, Richard, Billy, Leonard, Judy, and twin sister Betty; several nieces and nephews; his children’s mother Dorothy Hawes; as well as the many other lives that he has touched. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brothers, Leon Jr. and Jerry; and nephew Jamie Duncan.
