Obituary of McMASTER – Audrey IHTS AI NI HKATS SI MMA

May 1, 1939– April 10, 2011 Audrey McMaster of Siksika Nation passed away peacefully on April 10, 2011 at the age of 71 years. Born on May 1, 1939 she lived her entire life surrounded by the people who she loved. She thoroughly loved her retirement years in her Siksika Community. Sharing Elders events with her sister Ruby both at home and during organized travels to other reserves especially in traditional pow wows. She will be remembered for her humble, kind and gentle nature and will never forget her favourite joyful response of Yuma. Audrey will be lovingly remembered by her children: Sharon (Eric), Wesley (Leslie), Sidney, Leslie (Wynette). Brothers: Roy Stimson Sr., Adrian (Leslie) Stimson Sr; Sisters: Ruby Doore, Yvonne and Elizabeth Stimson, Olivia Wolf Leg. Sisters –in-law: Alice Weasel Child, Justine Stimson, Josephine Wolf Leg, Uncle Wilton (Donna) Raw Eater, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who she adored and cherished. She will be greatly missed by her nieces, nephews, friends and extended family members from the Blackfeet, Bloods, Peigan and by all who knew and loved her. Audrey was predeceased by her husband Leslie, children Shirley, Randy and Rex. Parents Edward Connor and Doris (Raw Eater) Stimson, Charlie and Millie Raw Eater, Albert Stimson(Spotted Eagle), brothers, Eddy, Bruce, Patrick, Exavia, Ralph, Dickie, Robert Wolf Leg and Adolphus Weasel Child, sisters Patsy, Peggy, Betty and Aunty Violet Calling Last. Wake Services will be held at Gordon Yellow Fly Memorial Arbour at 6:00 pm on April 14, 2011. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 12:00 pm. Graveside Service to follow at Paul Little Walker Cemetery, Siksika Nation, AB. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
