Obituary of POLLOCK – Carmun
June 21, 1945 – April 8, 2011
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carmun Thelma Pollock of Calgary on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the age of 65 years.
Carmun will always be remembered for her great strength and infectious smile. She fought a courageous battle with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis since the age of four. In spite of this, she led a happy and active lifestyle, taking pleasure in her many friends, children and grandchildren. Too numerous to mention are those who knew her as Nan or Auntie Carmun.
Carmun is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Lorie Pollock; daughter Lisa Pollock, all of Calgary; grandchildren, Candice, Matthew and Michael; and great-grandchildren, Hayley and Brenden. She is also survived by her sister Brandice Bourlon. Carmun and Phil Pollock were married for eighteen years and continued to enjoy parenting and grandparenting. She was predeceased by her mother Wreatha in 1981; father Jack in 1988 and sister Candice in 1952.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road S.E.) on Thursday, April 14, 2011 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
