Obituary of LUTTMER – Henry Peter
July 5, 1917 – April 8, 2011
It is with deepest regret that the family of the late Henry Luttmer of Calgary announces his sudden passing, on Friday, April 8, 2011, at the age of 93 years.
Henry was born in Rose Lynn, AB, the son of Charles and Myrtle Luttmer. Henry served as a Sergeant in the Canadian Army from 1941 to 1945, fighting throughout continental Europe. His passions that he shared with others included woodworking, gardening, nurturing wildlife and many works of art. His drive to explore endless talents was admired by many. A legacy of his love, wisdom and warm sense of humour has been passed on to his children and grandchildren. To those who knew him, his spirit will be remembered always. He was a selfless, caring, gentle person who gave so freely of his love.
Henry, be at peace with God’s angels. We love you.
Henry leaves behind Agnes, his loving wife of sixty-five years; treasured children, Peter, Leland, Linda and Dale (Susan), all of Calgary; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter Gail in 1997.
