Obituary of SEIB – George Emil
August 16, 1941 – April 8, 2011
George Seib of Calgary passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 at the age of 69 years.
George was born in North Battleford, SK and moved to Calgary as a teen. He was a dedicated father and grandfather and took an active role as both a parent and coach for numerous community sports teams his children were involved with. George was a successful businessman and was co-founder of Valley Metal Fabricators and later branched out on his own, starting Geepard Industries. He was not only a very generous man to his children, siblings, nieces and nephews but he was also a very creative man. His solace was getting away to the Cabin at Sylvan Lake and watching the sun set and listening to the birds.
George is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Pam and Curtis Garrow; a daughter-in-law Julie Seib; and three granddaughters, Amanda and Maddison Garrow and Kira Seib. He is also survived by seven brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Bradley Seib on January 25, 2009 and six brothers and sisters.
