Obituary of BEVANS – Donald Wesley
June 24, 1926 – April 7, 2011
Donald Bevans of Cochrane passed away on Thursday April 7, 2011 at the age of 84 years. Don was born in Carlea, Saskatchewan and moved to Northern Manitoba after WWII, followed by a move to Calgary in 1947. He married his best friend, Margaret in 1949.
A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Don is survived by his wife Margaret, daughters Linda (Art), Leslie (Garry), and Peggy (Wayne), his brother Ted (Madelaine), Bill (Jean), sister Irene (Eldon), and his brother-in-law Glen (Agnes). Don is also survived by 10 grandchildren and their spouses, as well as great-grandchildren, and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews too numerous to mention by name. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Norman and Victor.
Don’s family invites all of the family, relatives, friends, and neighbours to join us in a special memorial celebration to be held at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church (43015 George Fox Trail, Cochrane, AB), on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 2:30p.m. You may forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
