Obituary of FERRARO – Caterina

May 28, 1936 – April 3, 2011 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Caterina Ferraro (nee Triveri) on April 3, 2011 at the age of 74 years with her family at her side. Caterina was born May 28, 1936 in Pietrapennata R.C., Italy and immigrated to Canada in 1959 with her husband and two young sons. She was a great homemaker, enjoyed doing needlepoint, crocheting, cooking, family vacations and spending time with her family and grandchildren. Her immense will to live superseded the pain and suffering she endured for the past ten years. Left to mourn is her husband of fifty-seven years, Raimondo Ferraro, her two sons; Joe and Peter (Mary), grandchildren; Katia, Raymond, Peter, and Michael, sister; Vicki (Nick Piattelli), sister-in-law: Vittoria Ferraro, nephews, nieces and numerous relatives in Canada and Italy. Caterina was predeceased by her parents Pietro and Anna Triveri and her brother-in-law; Gildo Ferraro. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Grace Italian and English Catholic Church (1714 – 14th Avenue N.E.) on Thursday, April 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Mausoleum.
