Obituary of JONES – Jean Doreen

March 3, 1934 – April 3, 2011 It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we the family announce the passing of our Mother, Jean Jones on April 3, 2011 Jean was born in Southampton England, the youngest of 5 children and in the spirit of opportunity and adventure came to Canada settling in Aurora, Ontario with her husband and two children where she lived for many years before venturing west to Calgary to be closer to her family. Forever loving wife, “Jeannie” to her one and only late husband of many years Leslie Vernon Jones and the loving mother to daughter Sandra (Roger) of Cochrane, Alberta and her son Terry (Wilma) of Aurora, Ontario. Cherished grandmother of Rhonda (Manuel), Denise (Camille) and Jenifer. A dear great grandma (nannie) of Brayden. She will be missed dearly by her very close and older sister Gwendolyn Dunkason (Keith) of Southampton, England as well as her older brother Ronald Catterick (Maureen) of Perth, Australia. Special auntie and great auntie will be missed by all of her nephews and nieces. Mother waged a very short but courageous battle with her cancer, leaving us proudly and privately with her family by her side. A special thanks to the many wonderful people at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre and the very special caring angels at The Agape Hospice for their heartfelt round the clock incredible care they provided to our mother and family these last few weeks.
