Obituary of METCALFE – James Jim

June 6, 1968 – March 31, 2011 It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our beloved son, brother and uncle, James “Jim” Metcalfe of Calgary, who passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the age of 42 years. Jim was born and raised in Calgary, AB. He was a respected partner in his own company, Meridian Pipelines. Jim was highly regarded for his dedication and professionalism. The title that Jim wore most proudly, however, was “Uncle”. Jim was dedicated to family and always made those that he loved his first priority. Jim will be forever remembered by his mother and best friend Ann; step dad Dave; brother Bruce (Le Ly); sisters, Linda (Bill), Lindsey (John); sister-in-law Lisa; and his treasured nephews, Braeden, Justin, Morgan, and Joshua. Jim will also be remembered by his numerous aunts, uncles, cousins in Scotland and Canada, as well as his extended family and close friends. We will all miss his honesty, sense of humour and his unconditional love and support.
