Obituary of BUGG – Helen Genevieve

February 19, 1923 – March 30, 2011 With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Peacefully, Mom lost her courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease at the age of 88. Although in sorrow, we feel a great sense of comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and that Heaven has welcomed another Angel. Our Mother was born in Englefeld, Saskatchewan to Agnes and August Schmitz. “Sis” as she was affectionately called by her siblings, had six brothers and two sisters. In 1947, she married our Dad and they spent fifty-two years together and raised four children. Mom had a very full life; her family always being her utmost priority. She worked tirelessly throughout her life; much of it alongside our Dad in their business ventures. She was both loved and respected by all that had the privilege of knowing her. Mom was always kind, generous and very forgiving. She always saw the good in everyone, especially her children. Her deep faith in God was a driving force in her life. She would always say “You’ll be in my prayers!” We take great solace in knowing that she has been reunited with those that passed before her; to include her husband Norman Bugg; her son Brian Bugg; her brothers, Ed, Art and Lorne; sisters Irene and Eleanor; parents Aggie and Augie; and countless members of family, friends and those she touched so dearly throughout her life. Mom leaves to celebrate her life three daughters, Lynn (Ken), Michele and Donna (David); eight grandchildren, Kevin, Kim, Jared (Freya), Mandi, Leanne, Robyn, Hayley and Alex; six great-granddaughters and one great-grandson; as well as her brothers, Ray, Ralph (Carol) and Jim (Kathy). A private family service will be held. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to The Alzheimer Society of Alberta and the Northwest Territories, Administrative Office, 10531 Kingsway Avenue, Edmonton AB T5H 4K1. God bless and keep our beloved Mother in your eternal embrace until we too will join her.
