Obituary of SAVIAK – Bill

September 12, 1932 – March 30, 2011 Bill Saviak of Calgary passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the age of 78 years. Bill’s was a life lived in celebration. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, valued and skilled mentor and an inspiration to all who knew him. Born in Winnipeg, Bill achieved his early aspiration of becoming “on-air” talent at radio stations across western Canada and moved to a career in advertising culminating in his own successful trade show promotions company. Bill was able to retire at a fairly young age and in his later years became a proud co-founder of the Joy of Life Centre. He was a past president and a beloved member. In his later years Bill was known to enjoy friendly casinos, a smooth round of golf and well broadcast sports events. For all those lucky enough to have had them his HUGS will be missed. His sister Marie, eldest son Ken and his wife Carole, youngest son Stephen and grandchildren Melissa, Don, Bryce and Stephen Jr survive Bill. His wife Helen Saviak and middle son David predeceased him. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com.
