Obituary of BOUVIER– Ephram Damas Joseph

June 17, 1945 – March 28, 2011 It is with great sorrow that the families of Ephram Bouvier announce his passing on Monday, March 28, 2011 at the age of 65. Ephram was a kind and loving man who dedicated many of his years to helping others. Since 1990 he worked tirelessly for the Métis Nation, as a leader and community member, with a vision to create a better life for Aboriginal people throughout Alberta and Canada. He was an avid hockey fan, cheering first for the Habs and then the Flames. When at home with his family and friends Ephram could be found cooking, joking and teasing, or relaxing. He will be deeply missed. Ephram leaves the legacy of his children Tammie, Derek (Tresley), Victoria Ashley, Victoria May, Edmund, Karen (Chuck), Melanie (Reg), Damas (Rose) and son-in-law Dean Malcolm; grandchildren Jovie, Bradon, Lorraine, Nicole, Samantha, Jasmine, Charmaine, Joey; great-grand children Kingston, Nathan and soon to arrive Ephram Gage. He is survived by brothers and sisters, Mary, Jack, Jules, Theresa and Florence. He will be lovingly remembered by his partner Beth Sinclair, and the mothers of his children, Theresa and Marie. Ephram was predeceased by his parents, Victoria and Jean-Baptiste, sisters and brothers Lawrence, Omar, Marion and Clara. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Eastside Memorial Chapel (5388 Memorial Drive N.E.) on Monday, April 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.
